This is the 10th year Abel has made large arbor and this reel features aerospace grade aluminum. This year they have tried to simplify the reels they offer by calling the standard arbor reel a Super Standard Arbor, and their large arbor reel the Super Large Arbor. In the past the standard arbor Abel reels were called Big Game Reels. The reel also has teflon sealed aircraft bearings; a superior high grade portugese cork drag system; double pawl drag system on larger models (6+); interchangable large arbor and standard arbor spools. 2009 marks the 11th year that the Abel Creek series and it contains a heat treated stainless steel drag, narrow frame for quick line pick-up and is interchangable for both large arbor and standard spools. Availible for a charge in solid frame.
Originally designed in 1992, the TR Series were reintroduced in 2008 due to popular demand. Like the Abel Creek Series, the TRs have an internally adjustable pawl click drag made from 303 heat treated stainless steel, and are finished with Abel's proprietary anodizing process. The TR Reels have a standard arbor and classic round ventilation holes.

The only thing you don't get with an anti-reverse reel is cracked knuckles. Same sub stopping power and superb workmanship as other Abel reels, with Teflon sealed bearings, double pawl system and superior high grade Portuguese Cork drag system. Each Anti/Reverse Reel comes with its own finger wrench for removing the spool.
